Love One Another Capital Campaign 2021

Holy Family, Reeseville

Our Parish Roots

In 1900, Archbishop Frederick Katzer decided to erect a parish in Reeseville to serve the Lowell-Reeseville area. A year later, the building was erected, marking the beginning of the Holy Family Congregation. For over a century, parishioners of our parish have joined to celebrate the Word of God.

Fellowship is a guiding principle of the parish. We know nothing can replace the music, message, and ministries felt in a Mass to create that welcoming energy for newcomers and parishioners. As we look to invest in our parish, we know that these values are key.

When our parish combined with St. John the Baptist in Clyman and St. Columbkille in Elba, we joined in our mission to be disciples of Jesus Christ committed to love God, loving others and making more disciples. By the strength of our parish, we can continue to live in service to God for many centuries to come.

Through much prayer, planning and conversation, we have identified our greatest needs and initiatives to strengthen our mission and vision for years to come.   BUILDING ACCESSIBILITY - $41,200

To help make our parish more welcoming and accessible to all parishioners and visitors, we need to install an elevator that will alow individuals to travel between the basement, ground and church level. In addition, we must renovate our restroom to be single use and wheelchair accessible to ensure all needs are met. Through these projects, we will be better suited to receive visitors and parishioners alike, and will be prepared to live our parish mission as we carry forward

MISSIONARY FRATERNITY OF MARY - $5,000

Our relationship with the Missionary Fraternity of Mary has allowed our parish to be open and active. We wish to further develop this relationship with our other two parishes in supporting their community. In collecting money for the Missionary Fraternity of Mary we will support the formation of their priests and continue to help them engage in their work throughout the world.
