Love One Another Capital Campaign 2021

St. Mary, Waukesha

Our Parish Roots

Prior to September 1949, the Catholic population of Waukesha had outgrown St. Joseph Church. After the completion of the Catholic Memorial High Chapel, parishioners living in the south region of St. Joseph Parish began attending Mass at the Chapel in June 1949. It was from this nucleus of parishioners that St. Mary Parish was born.

In September 1949, the parish was officially established as “St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish” with Reverend John Voelker serving as the first pastor. It was also at this time that St. Mary Grade School began operations, eventually becoming the Waukesha Catholic School System.
For generations, our congregation has come together to strengthen our parish and school communities. Today, we remain a vibrant parish dedicated to our mission: “We, the Catholic Community of Waukesha, transformed by the Holy Spirit, worship God; follow Christ through Gospel-centered lives; celebrate our diversity, welcome, love and serve all.”

  INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY - $190,000

By expanding and improving the use of technology throughout our parish and school, we can augment accessibility and security. Through this campaign, we will upgrade our technology infrastructure, Wi-Fi, portable media, and community room. We also plan to upgrade our current audio to make Mass more accessible for all parishioners. Installing a fob system will allow us to make our church available for personal prayer and create a safer environment by controlling access to our buildings.

  BUILDING MAINTENANCE - $553,638

To keep a safe and functional environment for our faith formation students and Waukesha Catholic, we must prioritize the maintenance of our buildings. We plan to replace the classroom steam unit ventilators, rectory roof, gym rooftop units, library air handling units, all control valves, actuators, and control system. This will improve the learning environment for all of our students.

  CHOIR AREA & SIGNAGE UPDATES - $60,000

We plan to renovate the choir area to reflect our focus on music ministry. In addition, by updating exterior and interior signage, we can provide clearer communication and comfort for our parishioners and guests navigating our campus.
