Love One Another Capital Campaign 2021

St. Peter, Kenosha

Our Parish Roots:

We are grateful to Almighty God and our Lithuanian forefathers, who as immigrants, came to America and established this parish on July 30, 1903. St. Peter Parish is a community of baptized Catholics in Kenosha. We are associated with other Catholic parishes under the direction of the Archbishop of Milwaukee. In 1915, St. Peter also opened a school attached to the church campus.

We live our baptismal calling by the worship of God through Jesus Christ, the formation of Christian mind and character, service to those in need and responsible use of the resources which God gives us. Using the example of the Virgin Mother of Christ, so well portrayed in Christian tradition, we will pursue this calling faithfully under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We are also fortunate to foster relations with the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and help support their mission work here and abroad.

  Capital improvements - $200,316

We have been dedicated stewards of our campus to provide a peaceful place of worship for our parish. It is important for us to maintain the level of beauty and functionality that we are accustomed to. Campaign funds will be used for a number of capital improvements to our building and exterior grounds, including repairs to the rectory which has suffered water damage over the last couple of years, updating the parish windows to prevent leaks, and some repaving our our parking lot. There are additional projects that are of interest and maybe undertaken, the above list is just a concise list of high priority projects.

  Mission and Ministry - $22,000

At the forefront of our duty as Catholics is mission and ministry. Helping others find God and spread of our faith remains one of our top priorities. Our previous pastor does incredible mission work in Vietnam, and we are excited to have the opportunity to help support this mission and the work of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception through campaign funds. Additionally, we hope to establish a scholarship fund to support local students attending Catholic schools in our community. Finally, we want to help support local prison ministry programs.
