Love One Another Capital Campaign 2021

St. John the Evangelist, Twin Lakes

Our Parish Roots:

SJETL Risen ChristThe presence of God through the Catholic Church came to Twin Lakes in 1926 when priests from Holy Name Parish in Wilmot began to visit families around Lakes Elizabeth and Mary.

In 1932, a mission church of Holy Name was established and put under the patronage of St. John the Evangelist. Though there were only 35 registered Catholics in the Twin Lakes region, summers brought many families who were visiting and wanted a place for worship. The mission church of St. John the Evangelist became an established parish in June 1950.

Our Share

Through much prayer, planning, and conversation, we have identified our greatest needs and initiatives to strengthen our mission and vision for years to come. Our share of the funds raised will be used to install a parish elevator.

We need to install an elevator to make our church
accessible for those with physical challenges. We
have already raised some of the money needed
for this project in a past campaign. The remaining
balance will be raised through our efforts in the
Love One Another Campaign. Fulfilling this need
will ensure our parish is a welcoming place for all
parishioners to move around comfortably, regardless
of any physical limitations.
