St. John, Rubicon
Love One Another Capital Campaign 2021

St. John, Rubicon

Our Parish Roots:

St. John’s started as a log church in the Town of Herman in 1854. A priest would come once a month. A school was built near the church in 1862. The current church was built in 1870 with the school being built in 1885. The Stations of the Cross were built in 1917 and recently restored and repainted. In 1939, the annex building was built to house more students. Weis Hall was built in 1955. Christian Formation classes are still held for 4K thru 11th grade Confirmation.

At the time, one priest served the 3 parishes in Rubicon, Neosho, and Woodland. In 1994, the ‘tri-Parish’ was again served by one priest. In 2015, St. John’s was clustered with St. Kilian’s in Hartford. St. John the Evangelist is our patron saint.

St. John’s is a multi-generational, family-oriented, community-based parish with many years of memories of the church, school, processions, dinners, festivals, wine-tasting, and ball games among others. We stay committed to serving others with our time, talent and treasures.

We have been blessed with a beautiful church which needs to be maintained. The interior walls and ceiling are cracking. Repairs will include repainting, also.

  WHEELCHAIR RAMP - $8,000

The current wheelchair ramp needs to be replaced. This campaign will help make this project possible to enhance accessibility for all parishioners and visitors.

  CONFESSIONAL - $3,000

To meet all parishioners needs, the confessional will be renovated for handicap accessibility. The Eucharistic Revival hopes to bring those who have strayed from the church back, and reconciliation is an important part.
