We will enhance St. John Vianney’s financial health with supplemental payments towards our 2017 construction project loan balance. Funds will be used towards debt servicing or debt reduction and refinancing, dependent upon market conditions. Supplementing our payments will allow our parish to maintain a stronger financial position and enable us to focus our resources on other ministries and new evangelical efforts to best serve the parish community.
Our parish facilities were built over the past 65 years and requires us to modernize. Short-and-long-term improvements include but are not limited to upgrading all remaining fluorescent lighting with LED fixtures, replacing 15 HVAC units that are over 25 years old, repairing and renovating sections of our parish roof, other parish facilities and classrooms, upgrading doorways in our school buildings and parish, and other needed safety-related replacements and improvements. Modernizing our campus now will reduce the risk of unexpected failures, increase energy efficiency, offset growing energy costs, save the parish on maintenance and upkeep costs, and allow all who use our campus to feel safe and comfortable.
We will return our mission support outreach to pre-Covid levels. St. John Vianney has historically allocated 5% of offertory giving to be split between Prince of Peace, our sister parish in Milwaukee, Santisimo Sacramento in Peru, and local outreach organizations. We will continue to support these organizations along with others and continue increasing support to our goal of giving 5% of offertory.
